An adviser who has done the work from the inside.
Omar Abdelrazak founded Originate Advisory to help business families solve the problems he has worked on inside his own family’s group.
For five years he was Chief Operating Officer of Future Native Holding, an international family investment group with businesses across more than eight countries in Africa, Türkiye and the UAE. In that role, and now as Executive Director, Strategy & Development, he has led the group’s legal, financial, technological and managerial transformation: restructuring its ownership across several countries, building its governance, and professionalising how the family and the business work together.
Earlier in his career he worked in risk analysis, analytics and advisory at Bloomberg LP in London, advising major investment institutions including BlackRock, Vanguard and sovereign wealth funds.
He has studied leadership, mindset and performance with leading teachers in the field, including Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor and Dr Price Pritchett, and works one-to-one with founders, successors and family executives.
He holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Liverpool, a master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Toulouse Business School and a master’s degree in Finance from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
What he believes.
The long-term success of a family business depends as much on the quality of its relationships, the clarity of its governance, the effectiveness of its communication, the mindset of its leaders and the strength of its structure as on its commercial strategy. Families should spend their energy building the business, not managing the same disagreements year after year.
